MicroNet Technology has released external 52x CD-RW and a 4x DVD-R/W drives. The new drives, part of MicroNet’s Advantage line, feature both FireWire and USB 2.0 interfaces.

The DVD-R/W features 4x DVD-R, 2x DVD-RW, 16x CD-RW and 8x CD-RW capabilities. What’s more, it’s fully compatible with Apple’s own DVD Studio Pro authoring application, according to MicroNet. (DVD Studio Pro is sold separately.)
The CD-R/W drive features “Smart-Burn” media verification, buffer underrun protection, and “Smart-X” digital audio extraction. It can burn CD-Rs at up to 52x, and can burn CD-RWs at 24x. The drive ships with Toast Lite for Mac, and is fully compatible with Apple’s iTunes software, according to MicroNet.
