Mac game publisher Aspyr Media has updated its Web site with details about its forthcoming release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, a new golf simulator for the Macintosh.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 features, obviously, the enormously popular pro golf star, along with 14 other PGA members, including Ty Tryon, Charles Howell III, Jesper Parnevik and others. Players can try 12 different courses on the PGA tour including Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, the famed “home of golf,” St. Andrews Golf Links and many others.
A Career Mode, new to the 2003 edition (previous versions of which have been made available on other platforms), enables you to work your way to the top money-earning spot on the PGA tour. You can create a custom golfer and develop your skills in competitions and challenges against amateur and pro opponents. The game’s engine features rendering effects like growing grass, weather effects like sun, wind and fog, and more.
Preliminary system requirements for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 include Mac OS 9.x or Mac OS X 10.1 or later, G3/450MHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 850MB hard disk space, and ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce2 MX video card with 32MB RAM or better.
Aspyr is currently taking pre-orders for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 for US$49.95. Currently in beta, the game is expected to ship in April.
