Whether you want to Webcast your every move or send quick pictures to friends and loved ones, a Web cam can do both. Joining the wide selection of Web cams is the ZoomCam USB.
Featuring a design similar to the Logitech QuickCam, the ZoomCam comes in ice-colored plastic with a blue lens frame. Image quality is typical of a USB video camera: grainy, slightly out-of-focus images. While the included software assists in everything from editing images to movies, it does not allow you to record the signal from the camera. Luckily, many programs that do this are available for free (see USB Web Cams for details). And the Apple Video Player, included in your system software, can be used for simple viewing and recording. Plus, a fully working version of CU-SeeMe (approximate retail price: $60) is included for video conferencing.

Sure, the ZoomCam USB looks adorable. But you may need to install extra programs to get the most out of this camera.
