Seasonal Table Settings

Add a festive touch to your holiday-dinner fare this season with personalized linens. Scan winter berries, ornaments, or even strings of colored lights directly into your Mac; then combine them in a graphics program to create your design. (For tips on scanning 3-D objects, see Scan Anything.)

Before you print your design onto iron-on transfer paper, flip the image in your graphics program so it appears backward. Experiment to find the best temperature and pressure by first ironing the design onto scrap fabric. When you’re satisfied with the results, transfer your image onto plain cloth napkins, table runners, or place mats. –Artist: Amy Conger
