Antoine Rosset’s venerable music-editing application PlayerPro has two distinct functions. It’s a versatile music player that allows you to play common file formats such as MIDI, WAV, SND, and AIFF as well as rare file types such as S3M, MED, and SM. It’s also
a music editor that lets you create the compact MOD music files that were popular on the Amiga platform.
Although playing a music file with PlayerPro 5.6.2 is a straightforward operation, creating and editing MOD files is anything but. PlayerPro mimics the interface elements of MIDI sequencers, but the process of entering music isn’t intuitive, and the sparse electronic documentation does little to help you learn how to assemble compositions.
