Audio Hijack enables Mac OS X users to grab and record audio output for virtually any application. It also enables you to add digital signal processing (DSP) effects to audio output from any app, as well.
Audio Hijack Pro incorporates the ability to record MP3 files, the ability to pause recordings, creation of sets of DSP effects called Patches, support for up to 100 VST and/or AudioUnits plug-ins at a time, and more. Rogue Amoeba Software noted that Audio Hijack Pro also supports some “Classic” VST plug-ins that haven’t yet been updated for Mac OS X. There’s a ton more features in Audio Hijack Pro, too.
Audio Hijack Pro costs US$30 to register; if you’re already a registered Audio Hijack user, you get a $14 discount. More info, along with a downloadable demo version, is available from the Web site.
