Acme Made Inc. has introduced two new products for PowerBook G4s — the iCover and The Slim. Both are designed to offer PowerBooks protection. The new iCover and The Slim both join an existing line of Acme Made products designed to protect Mac models from dust and scratching.

The US$19.99 iCover is a thin sleeve that slips over the PowerBook screen itself. It’s designed to prevent residue on the keyboard from marking the delicate LCD screen surface when the PowerBook is in its closed position. Made of synthetic micro-suede, the iCover is washable and available in 12, 15 and 17-inch sizes.
The Slim is a new hybrid sleeve/carrying case for PowerBook users. It also works with the 12-inch iBook model. You can use the Slim on its own or inside another bag, to give your laptop an extra layer of protection. The Slim includes a detachable strap, and includes rubberized, splash-proof zippers, high-density foam and ballistic nylon, leather handles and a quilted satin lining. The Slim costs $85.
Acme Made noted that limited-edition “Designer” slims are available featuring textiles from designers like Charles and Ray Eames and Vernor Panton.
