Hewlett Packard announced two digital cameras, the HP Photosmart 935 and 735 digital cameras, at this week’s PMA (Photo Marketing Association) Show in Las Vegas.
The HP Photosmart 935 digital camera features 5.3-megapixel total resolution and 21x total zoom (3x optical zoom lens and 7x digital zoom). The camera also includes a 32MB secure digital (SD) memory card.
The HP Photosmart 735 digital camera produces images with 3.2 megapixel total resolution and 15x total zoom (3x optical zoom lens and 5x digital zoom). The pocket-sized camera comes with 16MB internal memory and an SD memory card slot to add more memory.
HP Photosmart 935 and 735 digital cameras — which have street prices of US$449 and $$299, respectively — let you choose between automatic or manual controls to select camera settings for ISO, exposure and white balance. Audio messages can be recorded with video clips and still photos.
The HP Photosmart 935 and 735 digital cameras feature the latest version of HP Instant Share, an Internet-based software application for sharing digital photos. Unfortunately, the app isn’t Mac compatible, though HP says that’s coming. Otherwise, both new Photosmart cameras are compatible with Mac OS X (10.1.5 and higher) and Mac OS 9.x.
