Micro Warehouse Gov/Ed, Inc. has joined Apple’s new Apple Authorized Education Agent (AAEA) Program (You can’t access the AAEA Web site without an Apple ID and password).
The program is designed to increase the adoption of Apple products and technologies within the education market. The mechanics of the AAEA program allow Apple and its agents to leverage each organization’s core capabilities, with the goal of increasing revenues and market penetration for both parties.
Under the partnership, Micro Warehouse will provide Apple products to public and private K-12 school districts, as well as community colleges with student enrollment of less than 1,000, according to Bill Shafley, the company’s president and chief operating officer. Micro Warehouse will provide a “dedicated sales force, both in the National Sales Center and in the field,” to support the AAEA program, he added. In addition, the company will augment Apple’s customer support with its own 24/7 technical support.
Headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia, Micro Warehouse Gov/Ed, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Micro Warehouse Inc. Micro Warehouse Gov/Ed is the technology source for educational institutions, and federal, state and local government agencies.
