“Core Mac OS X and Unix Programming,” a course designed to show programmers how to take full advantage of Mac OS X’s Unix foundation, will be held again at the Big Nerd Ranch.
Instructor Mark Dalrymple will teach the class from March 31 -April 4, 2003 at the Big Nerd Ranch lodge outside Atlanta, Georgia. Class topics include multithreading, daemons, distributed objects, network programming, Rendezvous, performance tuning, advanced debugging techniques, the security framework and exception handling.
Registration for the class is US$3,500, which includes lodging, all meals, original instruction materials, 24-hour lab access, and transportation to and from the Atlanta airport (ATL). Students are encouraged to bring independent projects to class, allowing for input from classmates and individual instructor attention.
