WiebeTech is now offering a 40GB version of its MicroGB+ FireWire pocket drive. The mechanism features a 16MB cache and spins at 5400RPM. The company said that the MicroGB+’s new configuration can transfer data at 25MB/sec. What’s more, the DesktopGB+ has been upgraded with an Hitachi-built 120GB drive that uses fluid bearings and an 8MB cache. The increased cache size means higher performance, said WiebeTech.
The 40GB MicroGB+ costs US$319.95. The 120GB DesktopGB+ carries a price of $299.95.
WiebeTech is offering anyone who makes a $300 or larger purchase through their online store a free miniature radio-controlled car. The car has a value of $29.95, and supplies are limited.
