Stupendous Software has updated its “SplitScreen & PiP” iMovie plug-in pack to v1.2. It now contains four new effects.

SplitScreen & PiP enables iMovie users to combine multiple clips into split-screen and picture-in-picture (PiP) configurations. You can combine two or four clips into split-screens, with control over directions, proportions and edge softness. You can combine picture-in-picture images with the smaller image placed anywhere in the frame, in its original shape or as a circle, with hard or soft edges.
Stupendous Software’s plug-ins work with Mac OS 9 or later and iMovie 2.1.1 or later. The upgrade is free if you’re already a registered user; otherwise you can download a free demo that offers four of the effects. The pack costs US$25.
