InterMapper enables system administrators and network managers to monitor the traffic on their network, map devices and connections, and be alerted when crucial equipment stops operating effectively. With the companion InterMapper Remote software, net admins can also view and configure the network from remote locations.
New features in version 4.0.2 include the ability to support an unlimited number of Object Identifiers (OIDs) in custom SNMP probes. Custom SNMP probes can also handle TimeTicks OIDs. Numeric paging is supported, and there is a preference for saving maps automatically when quitting. InterMapper Remote now supports a Find command that searches the visible labels of a map. Other new features, bug fixes and minor enhancements have been made.
InterMapper 4.0.2 and InterMapper Remote 4.0.2 are available for download from the Dartware Web site, and they’re free upgrades for registered users. The software runs both on Mac OS X and “Classic” Mac OS. Licenses for new users are scaled depending on the number of devices that InterMapper will track; educational discounts and a two-week demo are available.
