FileWave International — which develops and markets the FileWave and Asset Trustee solutions — will host a worldwide users conference in Hanau, Germany, on March 31-April 1. The company will offer a look at their FileWave XServer solution, as well as FileWave XAdmin and the FileWave WinClient.

FileWave systems are installed on 700,000 Mac systems worldwide, according to Nurdan Symanzick, the company’s vice president of sales. The systems are designed for automated network software distribution.
FileWave is set up as a remote system administration tool, to help reduce IT costs. The software sports intelligent installation capabilities like the ability to auto-resume, or to update automatically during user idle time. You can even “roll back” to previous versions if you discover problems with newly installed software, without having to re-download over the network.
In January FileWave released FileWave XClient 2.0, a new version of its automated distribution and management software. The new version adds support for a new security protocol, along with enhanced scalability and redundancy and improved support for Jaguar.
With FileWave XClient 2.0 installed, your system can automatically download new software and install software beyond the scope of what Apple’s own Software Update system preferences pane can do — FileWave handles third party applications, security settings and more.
