Antares Audio Technologies recently released a Mac OS X native version of Auto-Tune 3, its popular pitch-correcting plug in for professional audio software.

Auto-Tune 3 enables musicians to correct intonation errors and modify them in vocal tracks or solo instrument tracks without introducing distortion or artifacts. Auto-Tune 3 features a revised core pitch detection algorithm that improves its ability to detect pitch in both Automatic and Graphical modes. It also sports “source specific” pitch detection and correction, has a Bass Mode that lowers the detectable frequency by about an octave, and much more.
Auto-Tune 3 TDM and RTAS for OS X requires a Mac running Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later with Pro Tools 6.0 or later. Antares encourages users who require OS X native MAS or VST versions to keep checking their Web site for future availability.
Upgrades are available from previous versions of Auto-Tune, so visit the Antares Web site for details. You can download a 10-day trial version or buy it direct from the Antares Web site now; boxed copies are expected to hit store shelves by the end of the month.
