The Mozilla Organization has released Mozilla 1.3, a new version of their open source Web browser for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X. This version follows by about a month the release of 1.3b, a public beta release.
Mozilla is designed for standards compliance, and its core engine technology is the basis for other Mac compatible browsers, like Camino (nee Chimera). Mozilla 1.3’s release introduces junk-mail filtering, image auto-sizing, an API for rich text editing in Web pages, newsgroup filters, dynamic profile switching, nearly 2,000 bug fixes, and more.
Mozilla 1.3 for Mac OS X measures about 15MB and is available for download from the Mozilla Web site. More details, including release notes, are available online.
