IOXperts has released v1.0.2 it is 802.11b driver for Mac OS 9. The driver enables PowerBooks equipped with more than 60 different wireless networking cards from different manufacturers to work.

The new version of IOXperts’ wireless networking drivers fixes bugs and includes supports for the “Short Preamble” feature, intended to improve performance when transmitting streaming video and audio.,
The drivers support AppleTalk, 64 and 128-bit WEP, and listing of available networks. What’s more, the new versions also support Microsoft’s Broadband Wireless Notebook Adapter and the Siemens SpeedStream Wireless PCMCIA Card also.
IOXperts sells the drivers for US$19.95, for use with a single wireless card — the license is tied to the MAC address of the card registered. You can download the drivers and try them out in “trial mode” for 30 minutes until it’s registered.
