MacReporter, a Mac OS X dockling utility that rounds up headlines from various news sources, has been updated to version 1.1.4.
Specify your favorite Web sites and MacReporter notifies you when they’re updated. It features a plug-in system that allows new sites to be added. If there’s no plug-in for your favorite news source, you can e-mail Inferiis Software, the makers of MacReporter, and they will look at building one.
Version 1.1.4 fixes some bugs and adds a “reverse ordering” option to change the way articles are sorted; custom sounds should now remain selected; and additional plug-ins will install when you upgrade MacReporter.
MacReporter 1.1.4 requires any computer running Mac OS X 10.1 or later. It’s a US$15 product, but version 1.1.4 is a free update to registered users.
