LogicalVue Software Inc. has released SQLVue 1.0 for Mac OS X (10.1 or higher) and Mac OS 8-9.2. Targeted to developers, the interactive SQL editor for viewing and developing REALbasic databases is available in two editions: a free Starter Edition and a US$30 Professional Edition.
SQLVue 1.0 displays data in any table as a sortable grid. The application also exports table data as HTML for display in Web pages and displays a data dictionary of all tables and columns in the database. It processes any compatible SQL command and can connect to multiple databases simultaneously.
The Starter Edition works only with REALbasic native databases and has a limit of 10 tables per database, 10 columns per table, and 50 rows per table. The Professional Edition works with REALbasic native databases and MySQL databases (with support for more databases in the works). It has no limitations on tables, columns or rows other than what is built into whichever database engine you use. The pro version also includes a DataViewer listbox class that you can use in projects royalty-free for displaying SQL SELECT results.
