If you own a PowerWave USB Audio Interface from Griffin Technology Inc., you may want to download the new, and free, PowerWave Control .05 software that adds volume, input gain, bass, and treble control to a Mac when used with the device. The software is compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x.
The PowerWave is a US$99 USB audio interface that includes RCA stereo inputs and outputs. It provides real-time headphone monitoring and stereo microphone input for recording scenarios. The PowerWave’s 30-watt amplifier can also power any set of un-powered speakers directly from the desktop — including Apple Pro Speakers.
PowerWave Control .05 sports an adjustable input gain control that lets you adjust your sound input level when recording music or a voice into your Mac (something iMovie users are fond of doing). PowerWave Control .05 also lets you adjust the bass and treble of your Mac itself.
