Blue World Communications Inc. has released Lasso Professional 6.0.4, an update to their Web application server for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X.
Lasso Professional 6 is used to develop database-driven Web sites using standards like SQL, XML-RPC, JDBC, PDF, FTP and HTTPS. The software provides a graphical user interface and incorporates its own tag-based markup language called LDML.
New features include support for “catalog-less” JDBC datasources like OpenBase, and has improved handling of empty return statements from JDBC drivers. Accordingly, Blue World recommends running JRE 1.4.1 or later because of performance improvements. A number of issues have been corrected, including improved Mac OS X Server installation, and many changes to Lasso Service.
Complete details about what’s changed in Lasso Professional 6.0.4 are available for review from the Blue World Central Support database. The new version is available as a free maintenance update to all registered customers of Lasso Professional 6 and Lasso Studio 6.
