Blue World Communications Inc.
has released Lasso Professional 6.0.4, an update to their Web application server for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X.
Lasso Professional 6 is used to develop database-driven Web sites using standards like SQL, XML-RPC, JDBC, PDF, FTP and HTTPS. The software provides a graphical user interface and incorporates its own tag-based markup language called LDML.
New features include support for “catalog-less” JDBC datasources like OpenBase, and has improved handling of empty return statements from JDBC drivers. Accordingly, Blue World recommends running JRE 1.4.1 or later because of performance improvements. A number of issues have been corrected, including improved Mac OS X Server installation, and many changes to Lasso Service.
