Apple is a finalist in the 2003 Well-Connected Awards, which are sponsored by CMP Media’s Network Computing, a magazine for IT professionals. The awards are given to “quality offerings tested over a networked enterprise.”
Apple was a winner last year for QuickTime Streaming Server 4, which took top honors in the “Well-Connected Digital Convergence Product of the Year” and “Streaming Media Server” categories. Although the company is named among the finalists for this year’s awards, nominees in specific categories won’t be announced until “on or after April 7,” according to Network Computing.
Winners of the Network Computing Well-Connected Awards will be announced April 28 at a special event in Las Vegas, Nevada, prior to the start of the NetWorld+Interop trade show. Finalists and winners will be highlighted in the May 1 issue of Network Computing and on the Network Computing Web site.
