If Then Software has released Spacey 1.0, an AppleScript Studio-made utility that enables you to compile any of your iTunes smart playlists into an e-mail or iCal event.
Spacey 1.0 also allows you to control iTunes after a fashion — clicking on songs in the Spacey window will queue up their play in iTunes too. Spacey also provides title, artist, last played count and rating info, and will post the rank of the song, title and artist in e-mail and iCal. It can also publish the content to your iDisk, HTML or to an FTP site.
Spacey can be configured to display how many songs you want shown, and can also be customized to update the playlist periodically. There are some limitations to how it works, so make sure to read the documentation thoroughly before trying it out.
Spacey is available for download now from the developer’s Web site, and like If Then’s other products, it’s being offered as “donationware.” If you find it useful, you’re welcome to give the developer a token of your appreciation using the PayPal link at the bottom of their Web page.
