Version 2.0 of MusicMatch Jukebox Plus, the digital music software, is now finished and boasts a new interface, AppleScript support and Balloon Help.
Described as “the word’s first all-in-one music jukebox software,” MusicMatch Jukebox enables Mac users to play digital music on their Macs. Dennis Mudd, CEO of MusicMatch Inc., said that it’s “the only jukebox program that offers more than just music,” featuring the integrated MusicMatch Guide with music recommendations, artist and album information, exclusive and original editorial, and music search capabilities.
MusicMatch Jukebox provides users with the ability to record MP3 audio files from their personal CD collections. Users can play audio CDs using the software, too. MusicMatch Jukebox can be used to catalog user’s audio collections using the software’s integrated Music Library. The MusicMatch Guide also provides custom music recommendations for users looking for new music, and provides access to free MP3 files from major labels and independent artists alike.
Plus, MusicMatch Jukebox Plus lets you personalize your listening environment and expand your music collections by turning vinyl records and cassette tapes into digital music, Mudd said. Line-in recording lets music fans create a library of favorite music from existing cassette and vinyl record collections. It’s the only program that allows fans to manually break album songs into separate tracks, Mudd said.
MusicMatch also includes a graphic equalizer for superior sound; CD burning and multiple CD drive support; the ability to create and download the song playlists to portable MP3 players; and multiple-track tagging for organizing your music library by artist, album, mood, situation, genre and other categories. Plus, there’s an enhanced AutoDJ to help you find the right music for the right occasion, Mudd said.
The US$19.99 MusicMatch Jukebox Plus and free MusicMatch Jukebox Basic are available now for download at the MusicMatch Web site. Both programs require a Power Mac G3 or better, OS 8.6 or higher, speakers/headphones.
