Aladdin Systems, Inc. has announced the release of a free update to Spring Cleaning 3.5 to enable the software to work with Mac OS X. The new update, version 3.5.1, is ready for download from Aladdin’s Web site.
Spring Cleaning is an uninstaller package for the Mac. It enables users search for and remove unneeded files, folders, applications and other remnants of software installation. Spring Cleaning is comprised of 13 different utilities. The new version, 3.5.1, incorporates Internet clean-up features, dubbed “iClean.”
Spring Cleaning product manager Pauline Shumake said that Aladdin’s release of Spring Cleaning for Mac OS X demonstrates its commitment to Mac users.
“And there’s no doubt all the new OS X users will need Spring Cleaning’s uninstaller capabilities and its organizational tools as they upgrade to the new operating system,” said Shumake.
Spring Cleaning requires Mac OS 8.1 or higher and 4MB of RAM. Internet Config and Mac OS 8.6 or higher is recommended. The software carries a suggested retail price of US$49.95.
