Scott Kevill announced today that his popular (and free) online Mac gaming service GameRanger now supports MacSoft’s recently released casino game collection, Monopoly Casino. This brings the total number of games supported by GameRanger to 65.
Monopoly Casino was recently released by MacSoft as part of a long-term publishing plan it established last year with Hasbro Interactive. The game was converted to the Mac by Westlake Interactive.
Monopoly Casino combines 40 different popular casino games with characters, artwork and situations all inspired by the classic board game Monopoly. Users can play games like poker, roulette, blackjack and slots, including computer versions of real-life Monopoly themed slot machines found in Las Vegas casinos. The game features 200 different variations in all.
GameRanger has been publicly available since July 1999. The service launched with 11 game titles. Almost two years later, GameRanger is now more than 46,000 members strong. The service, which is currently free to download and use, features chat capabilities and server tracking. Users can also join and host their own games. GameRanger sports support for leading Mac commercial and shareware multiplayer games from a variety of publishers.
