PasswordWallet — which lets you store all of your passwords in a convenient, easy to use, secure place — is ready for Mac OS X as of version 2.1.
For security, PasswordWallet uses the BlowFish encryption algorithm with 448-bit keys to protect data. And for safety, it can copy your password to the clipboard and clear it automatically after you paste. The app also lets you save URLs with your entries and launch your default browser. One “master” password unlocks all of your other passwords.
If you’re running Mac OS 9.x, PasswordWallet will add your “master” password to the Keychain Control Panel. You can also synchronize with your Palm compatible PDA — if you have PasswordWallet for Palm OS.
Version 2.1 also adds an “Export to Text File” menu option and has improved the reliability of the Palm conduit to eliminate self-duplicating records. Password Wallet also offers a built-in random password generator and the ability to open more than one PasswordWallet file at a time.
You can download the US$15 shareware app (a 390k file) at the
PasswordWallet download site.
