.mail.it for Mac, an e-mail plug-in for FileMaker Pro, has been updated to version 1.1.2. This free upgrade includes an additional external function.
Now “Email-Adv-GetAttachedFilePath” enables you to save incoming attachments in a separate field for better access, according to MacTech magazine. Also, a signature feature has been added so you can sign your e-mails with a customized signature with one click. And there are bug fixes in the update.
With .mail.it, you can send and receive e-mail (including attachments in all common formats). .mail.it will create a new record for each mail received. It lets you check for mail from a specific sender or subject before you download. Incoming attachments will be stored in any local or network folder. It has an integrated e-mail account manager, over two-dozen external functions, full HTML/rich text support for incoming e-mails, and an auto-reply function.
You can download the fully working trial version of .mail.it for Mac now. It’s free and it includes a set of demo files and a tutorial. .mail.it is available in single user, network and developer versions starting at US$59 for the complete plug-in.
Dacons, the folks behind .mail.it, have also developed other modules for use with Filemaker Pro, as well, including .launch.it, an application launching utility, and .kick.it, which modifies the Filemaker Pro menu bar to help developers customize their Filemaker databases.
