Apple has released an update to Disk Burner for their English-International customers, bringing it to version 1.0.1. The update is ready for download from Apple’s Web site.
Disc Burner is the Apple software that enables users of CD-R drives to master CDs using desktop icons, rather than having to rely on a separate application interface. Disc Burner’s initial release only supported the new CD-RWs and DVD-R drives available in Apple’s new Power Mac G4 and iMac lines.
Disc Burner creates single-session discs and once you create a CD, any unused space on the disc cannot be reused or recovered. The release notes also indicate that Disc Burner is not compatible with Macintosh Manager. A “disk full” error message appears when you select a format for a blank CD.
This version of Disc Burner allows you to create data CDs using several non-Apple CD-RW drives.
The following CD drive mechanisms are supported:
LG (CD-RW CED-8042B)
