Qualcomm has posted a new final candidate of their popular mail application, Eudora, bringing it to version 5.1fc2.
Eudora 5.1 is the latest iteration of Qualcomm’s popular e-mail client for the Mac. This specific version has been released for users of Mac OS 8 and 9 — a separate 5.1 version for Mac OS X is presently in beta testing. (Click on the More Info link below for additional details about the OS X version.)
Qualcomm notes that Eudora for Mac 5.1 includes an address book conduit for Palm OS. You can synchronize Eudora’s address book database and your Palm PDA’s address book using this conduit.
Final candidate 2 incorporates the following changes: Fixed problems fetching some IMAP messages and attachments when using SSL; Fix for messages that were never delivered; Fixed system version in Insert Configuration
System requirements for Eudora 5.1 call for a PowerPC-based Mac; Mac OS 8.1; and an Internet connection using a POP3 or IMAP-compliant e-mail server.
