Adobe Photoshop 6.0 users now have the ability to import, view, convert, and scale image files in sizes of 5 to 1200 percent with absolutely no loss of quality, according to the folks at VFZ.
VFZoom is a suite of server and client solutions designed for scaling, compressing, archiving, viewing, converting, managing, tracking and securing digital images. VFZ Photoshop Plug-in lets users incorporate VFZ (Vector Format for Zooming) content into most workflows and makes it possible for users to open VFZ/PFZ files, choose the enlargement desired, and save any image from a Photoshop session as a VFZ file. The VFZ format is a method of layering, compressing, and streaming image data. Using VFZ, users can select any one of six quality levels, designed for proofing up through the most fine art printing. It’s compatible with such image formats as TIFF, JPEG, and BMP, and all conversions are 100 percent reversible.
Designed specifically for graphic arts enterprises, VFZoom products are targeted to those who need to distribute and print high-quality graphic files over a LAN/WAN or the Web.
The VFZ Photoshop Plug-in is available immediately worldwide for Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Mac and Windows versions at a cost of US$199. Site licenses are also available. You can download a fully functional copy of the VFZ Photoshop plug-ins and any VFZoom product for a free 14-day trial at the VFZ Web site.
