Logitech is overhauling its optical trackball family and adding a new member.
The company is now offering a corded version of its Cordless TrackMan Wheel that features a new metallic silver finish. The Marble Mouse trackball will also be refreshed with the same metallic look. Both should be available later this month for US$39.95 and $29.95 respectively.
The TrackMan Wheel features a two-button design with a scroll wheel. All buttons can be customized as application-based or Internet shortcuts. The Marble Mouse is a finger-operated trackball for both left- and right-handed users. It features two programmable buttons. Both of the new trackballs feature Logitech’s patented Marble optical tracking technology.
All of Logitech’s mice include MouseWare software, with its WebWheel feature that provides Internet access at the touch of a button. The receiver uses either a USB or a PS/2 interface and is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 or later. The company says it is “currently evaluating support for Mac OS 10” for MouseWare.
