PublicSpace.Net has upgraded “A Better Finder Rename” — a contextual menu plug-in for the Mac Finder that lets users quickly rename multiple files — to version 3.8. The update introduces Apple Event awareness, making it possible to directly drop files onto the application.
“This also results in a smaller download file,” said Frank Reiff of PublicSpace.net. “A number of internal changes have also been made to ease the forth-coming migration to Mac OS X.
All PublicSpace.net software is available free to Webmasters of Mac or ergonomic-related sites. A Better Finder Rename is available both as part of the A Better Finder tool series (which offers four products designed to provide powerful multi-file handling capabilities to the Finder) for US$44.95 or separately for $14.95. The new version can be downloaded from the PublicSpace.net download site.
