Hilgraeve, Inc. announced today that its HyperSend secure delivery services is Mac-compatible. Targeted towards users in the graphics arts, education, and creative industries who have a need to send files across the Internet, the HyperSend enables users to transfer files of any size through secure servers.
Users manage their file transfers through the HyperSend Agent program, which automatically compresses files before sending them. The software provides automatic recovery of interrupted transfers, and enables users to encrypt files with a password or phrase to assure security. Users can also configure the HyperSend Agent to schedule deliveries and set up recurring deliveries to multiple locations.
Hilgraeve offers a free level of service which enables users to send up to 100 deliveries or 10 MB every month. The company charges additional capacity at a rate of 10 cents per MB. Users aren’t restricted to sending files from Mac to Mac, either — HyperSend can send files from Macs to PCs and vice versa.
System requirements for HyperSend for Mac call for Mac OS 8.6 or higher and Netscape Navigator 4 or Internet Explorer 5. Hilgraeve says it’s working on support for Mac OS X and new Web browsers, as well.
