Mac OS X already comes with some spiffy screensavers — not that you really need a screensaver anymore, but, hey, it can be fun. If you want more, IllumineX is offering its illumineX Screen Saver Pack.
All the components in the pack are original screensavers including BabelBloX, based on the upcoming arcade game, as well as updated implementations of classic screensavers like Warp, Spline, and Planets. All screensavers offer tunable options. The Screen Savers are written in Objective C, using Cocoa.
The download is 1.4 MB, and the Screen Saver Pack is free at the IllumineX Web site. And the folks at IllumineX — who provide solutions, consulting, and software for WebObjects and Mac OS X — have some other “fun” goodies in the work for the next generation operating system, they promise.
