Intego today announced plans to release Mac OS X versions of its entire product line of security products. The first OS X versions will be released in the second quarter of the year; others will follow at a schedule that’s still to be determined.
Intego’s Mac security software includes NetBarrier, a personal Internet security product; ContentBarrier, designed to enable parents to monitor and restrict their kids’ Internet access; VirusBarrier, a virus detection and eradication utility; and Internet Security Barrier, an all-in-one package comprised of those three utilities.
The company has also recently acquired DiskGuard, FileGuard and Personal Backup — utilities that provide disk maintenance, file access management and backup and archival capabilities. Intego plans to release Mac OS X versions of them, as well.
Intego VP Jean-Paul Florencio says that his company is delighted with Mac OS X, which was released a month ago today. “Our main priority now is to release Mac OS X compatible versions of all our programs as soon as possible,” said Florencio.
