Yesterday at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) expo Media 100 introduced version 7.5 of its Media 100 i family of digital media creation systems for the Mac. Now the company said that the media creation system for the Mac will support Mac OS X later this year.
Charlie Mascari, senior product manager for Media 100 said the company is working “closely” with Apple “to ensure Media 100 i is fully compliant with the OS X platform and will enable users to take full advantage of OS X’s media rich capabilities and powerful computing platform.” He added that Media 100 i would provide “seamless hooks” within the next generation operating system.
Media 100 i, described as “the world’s first interactive streaming production system,” is a professional system giving content creators and Web professionals the power to capture broadcast-quality video, edit, add effects, author interactive commands into the video, and then encode to any streaming format. Media 100 i is available in models ranging in price from US$3,495 to $17,995.
