The official Web site of the Chicago Cubs isn’t the most Mac friendly Web site around.
Cruise on over and click on the Gameday link and you’ll get the following message: “We’re sorry but the browser you’re using doesn’t support the Flash functionality on this page. Please try again using a browser other than Netscape 6.0, Internet Explorer for the Mac, or any browser below version 4.0.”
“Mac users are out of luck if we want to check out the stats of a Chicago Cubs game in progress,” Cubs fan Anshu Gupta told MacCentral.
The CubsCam feature, which offers live interactive shots from Wrigley Field, also didn’t work well when using Internet Explorer 5 for the Mac. The Tickets and Auctions sections do seem to work well on our favorite computing platform, as does the Game Day Audio (a subscription service that lets you catch games online) — although you’ll have to use RealPlayer 8 Basic, and not QuickTime, for the audio.
