If you’re a Mac user attending the PhotoshopWorld conference in Los Angeles this weekend, you’ll be interested in the seminars that Apple will have at the show.
The sessions start on Saturday morning at 10:00 am with Studio Artist, A Real Graphics Synthesizer, presented by Jason Sharp, Director of Sales Synthetik Software Inc. Studio Artist is a painting, drawing, image and video manipulation program. A complete hybrid of Raster and Vector, Studio Artist enables the user to combine paint tools, image processing filters, morphing, warping, keyframe animation, 3D paints, and more to create still art or apply these processes to QuickTime movies and automatically make a resolution independent moving art masterpiece.
From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Mike Descher from Apple will talk about ways to organize and protect your digital assets in Managing your Digital Assets. In this session you’ll learn how you can manage the assets in your shop, transfer them in a snap, burn them onto CDs and DVDs, and automate the entire process.
Commercial photographer Neil Rickman is up from 1:30 — 2:30 pm in a session called Going Digital — From Film to Digital Pros & Cons. Rickman will talk about the latest digital photography equipment from Kodak and Apple Computer and how his digital workflow has made the transition from film to digital easy.
ColorSync is on center stage from 3:30 — 4:30 pm in a session presented by GreTag MacBeth called How to Make Professional Color Profiles. The day will end with Color specialists Rods and Cones in a session called Can’t We All Get Along? In this session users will learn how to setup the color preferences for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Quark so that they all agree and output color the same way.
Sunday sessions include:
Apple will also have some Photoshop developers — Gretag MacBeth, Synthetik (Studio Artist), Wacom, Rods and Cones — showing their latest Photoshop solutions on a Power Mac G4 with the Apple Cinema Display as well as the Titanium PowerBook G4.
