UNI SOFTWARE PLUS has a new public beta version of VOODOO Server, their flagship version control tool for software developers using Metrowerks CodeWarrior under the Mac operating system. The new beta, 1.3b6, is for Mac OS X.
VOODOO is a stand-alone version control tool with a graphical user interface. VOODOO Server is a client/server version control tool for software developers using Metrowerks CodeWarrior under Mac OS. VOODOO Server and the corresponding CodeWarrior plug-in provide version control functionality “without adding the administrative overhead that usually accompanies version control.”
VOODOO Server features a modern client/server architecture that benefits of the stability and performance Mac OS X. The CodeWarrior plug-in offers a control solution that lets you keep track of all your files without having to deal with additional complexity and bureaucracy, all from inside the CodeWarrior IDE in an easy-to-use Mac-like style, according to MacTech magazine.
The new release brings back VOODOO Server’s complete functionality under Mac OS X, including all AppleScripts and updated documentation. It improves compatibility with the next generation operating system, fixes several bugs, and adds some minor feature enhancements.
To reduce download time, beta versions contain only the essential parts of the VOODOO Server package and a SimpleText document that describes the changes. Documentation and other extras may not be included in beta versions.
