Apple releases iMovie Plugin Pack for Mac OS X

Apple has released to its Software Updates Web site information about the iMovie Plugin Pack 2.1 for Mac OS X. This plugin pack has been developed specifically for use with Mac OS X, and is not designed to work on iMovie with any previous Mac OS version.

The effects included in the Plugin Pack include:

  • Flash
  • Ghost Trails
  • Mirror
  • Mirror Advanced
  • N-Square

    • New transitions include:

  • Circle Closing
  • Circle Opening
  • Radial
  • Warp In
  • Warp Out
  • Wash In
  • Wash Out

    • And new titling features include:

  • Subtitle
  • Subtitle Multiple
  • Zoom
  • Zoom Multiple

    • The new plugin pack is free to download and use, but you will need iMovie for Mac OS v2.1 to get it to work. Hardware required calls for a Power Mac G3 or G4, PowerBook, iMac or iBook with built-in FireWire port; 128MB RAM; 2GB hard disk space; and digital video camera.
