Palm, Inc. has updated its Mac OS Palm Desktop software to version 2.6.3. The new version adds support for Palm OS 4.0, and features other changes.
Palm Desktop is the Mac OS application counterpart to the Palm PDA. It provides similar functionality as the built-in personal organization tools, such as contact management, appointment scheduling, and more. Palm Desktop also provides “conduit” access to exchange data with the Palm PDA itself.
According to Palm, the following changes have been made in Palm Desktop 2.6.3:
Please be advised that Palm, Inc. only recommends that users upgrade to the new 2.6.3 version if they’re using a new Palm OS 4.0-based PDA, such as the m500 or m505 units, or to get the Instant Palm Desktop fix.
System requirements call for a Palm PDA, Mac or compatible; System 7.5.3 or later; 15MB available hard drive space; 8MB available RAM; free USB or serial port with appropriate connection hardware.
