Amazon.com is now selling the entire product line of Intego, a developer of Mac Internet security utilities. All of Intego’s programs (NetBarrier, ContentBarrier, Virus Barrier, Internet Security Barier, DiskGuard, FileGuard, and Personal Backup) are available for purchase from Amazon.com in the United States in both single-user versions and multiple-user versions.
The April 30 issue of “US News & World Report” gave a thumbs-up to Power On Software’s Rewind product, a “disaster protection” utility that “remembers” all the data that has been modified on a user’s disks, letting you return to previous versions of documents, applications or entire disks with a single click on the Rewind button. In the article, journalist David LaGesse explores Power On and said that Rewind will take you on a “journey back to a happier time when your computer worked.” Rewind has a suggested retail price of US$99.95 and can also be downloaded from the Power On Software Web site.
