An Apple spokesperson has confirmed for MacCentral that the company has changed its warranty protection on refurbished products.
From now on, all Apple refurbished products purchased on or after May 1 will receive an Apple One-Year Limited Warranty instead of the previous 90-day limited warranty. This applies to both products bought from the Apple Store and other authorized dealers.
What’s more, products refurbished by Apple and purchased on or after May 1 are eligible for the extended service and support coverage offered by an AppleCare Protection Plan. The AppleCare Protection Plan is a way of extending service and support for Apple products.
