If you’re a francophone and a scriptwriter, and you’ve been looking for a Mac application tailored to your needs, rejoice — Final Draft Inc. is rolling out Final Draft – French this week.
Final Draft has over 130,000 users, according to the company, and already has a loyal following in Europe. The company just recently opened an office in Paris, France. The software is a word processing application custom-tailored to the technical needs of screenwriters. It’s been available for about a decade in North America.
Final Draft president and CEO Marc Madnick said that the release of Final Draft – French is the first fully localized version of the software they’ve released.
Of course, the debut happens at the MITIC Technology Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival, which runs May 9 through the 19. Look for them in Booth F4.
Final Draft – French is available as a cross-platform release with support for both Mac OS and Windows. The software carries a suggested retail price of US$249.
