Casady & Greene Inc. today announced a maintenance release for Grammarian. The new update, Grammarian 2.1.3, is available today for download from Casady & Greene’s Web site — it’ll work for any 2.x version.
Grammarian is an interactive grammar checker designed to work with any Mac application, even if the app features its own grammar checker. Grammarian checks grammar mechanics, punctuation and phrase usage in either interactive or batch modes.
The new version of Grammarian sports a grammar engine that includes a 140,000 word base of thematic classifications and the ability to check for improper word usage errors. Support has been added for Microsoft Office Entourage and Adobe Photoshop 6.0, and other minor fixes have also been made.
Grammarian 2.1.3 is available for direct purchase and download from Casady & Greene for US$39.95. A CD-based version is sold by major retailers for $49.95. Casady & Greene also offers an upgrade path for 1.x owners for $19.95.
