It appears that Apple will open its first retail store on May 19 in McLean, Va., the
Wall Street Journal
is reporting this afternoon. The store will be located around the Tysons Galleria shopping mall.
According to staff writer for
, Julio Ojeda-Zapata,
the invitation read, “‘you are invited to an advance briefing and private tour’ of the new store in McLean, Va., on May 15.”
An Apple spokeswoman confirmed for the Wall Street Journal that the company will open its first retail store on May 19, but declined to comment further.
The apparent opening of the McLean, Va. Store comes on the heels of other rumored cities that will be
host to an Apple Store
in the near future. Such cities include Phoenix, Schaumburg, a second store in the Chicago area, and Palo Alto among others.
