Adobe Systems Inc. today announced the release of more than 200 eBook titles targeted at mobile professionals. The titles include offerings from the Wall Street Journal, Charles Schwab, and others.
Adobe Vice President of product marketing for cross media Susan Altman Prescott says it’s all about Adobe’s vision of “anytime, anywhere, on any device.”
“Mobile professionals now have a convenient way to easily access hundreds of compelling business eBooks to help them solve a problem or do their jobs better. Making this content readily available on their laptops gives them the advantage of catching up on important reading at their convenience,” said Prescott.
The new eBooks can be purchased from Barnes and Noble.com and Amazon.com. Specific titles include:
eBooks leverage Adobe’s PDF, or Portable Document Format, to incorporate color imagery, font support and other key features. When the publisher authorizes it, users can also print and lend their eBooks to other users, as well.
A beta version of Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader 2.1 is available for download from Adobe’s eBooks Web site.
