The Mini Yepp sports a USB interface to enable it to exchange music with a Macintosh (or PC). The tiny MP3 player weighs only 1.13 ounces (without battery) and measures 1 1/7 x 2 1/4 by 7/8 inches. It sports an LCD display that gives you info on the music you’re listening to. It acts as a watch, with date and time displayed also.
Samsung plans to deliver the Mini Yepp with music already installed, including Samantha Mumba, Monster Magnet, Blues Traveler, Cold, and Black Eyed Peas. The device also comes with Rioport software, to organize and transfer music.
Samsung says the suggested retail price of the Mini Yepp is US$99. Look for it now at CompUSA, with nationwide distribution coming later this month at Sears and Amazon.com.
