Macworld UK notes that Apple ha been nominated for product design awards from D&AD (British Design and Art Direction). The news comes in an article entitled Apple has designs on award.
D&AD is a professional association that represents the UK’s design and advertising communities. The D&AD awards, also known as the Yellow Pencils, have been awarded annually for almost 40 years. Last year, the association gave its Gold Award to Apple for the 22-inch Apple Cinema Display.
This year, three of the six nominations for a Silver award in the Products for Work Design categories are for various gear from Apple, including the G4 Cube, Apple Pro speakers, and Apple Pro Mouse.
The winners will be announced on May 30th, at 10 pm, during an awards ceremony. More details are available from Macworld UK.
